Grasshopper Ice Cream Pie

I know you read the title and let me go ahead and inform you it DOES NOT contain actual grasshoppers. Sorry to disappoint...I know I was kind of let down. Whatever the case, actual grasshoppers or not, it is a incredibly easy and super amazing 4 ingredient dessert.

Grasshopper Pie

Ingredients:
  • Mint Ice Cream (if you aren't in Texas and don't have Blue Bell I'm sorry but whatever you do have will have to work)
  • 8 oz Whipped Cream
  • Mint Oreo's (something I had never tried until I made this and they are great!)
  • Hot fudge sauce or chocolate shell (I used the chocolate shell and it was INCREDIBLE)
  • Oreo Crust
Directions:
  1. Put your ice cream into your shell. (You're going to want to soften it and use a warm metal spoon or rubber spatula to spread it around the shell evenly)
  2. Top with a layer of mint Oreo's
  3. Cover with whipped cream
  4. Sprinkle crushed mint Oreo's over the top.
  5. Drizzle with either hot fudge or chocolate shell.

Seriously guys, that's it. It's definitely one for mint and chocolate lovers (which I am). It's five ingredients and like 3 minutes of work. Come on! Who doesn't love a simple dessert?

Until next time

Basic Pancakes

This is the most basic and simple pancake recipe and the pancakes come out so thick and fluffy it's ridiculous. Once I started making pancakes from scratch I never got them from a box or a Bisquick Shake & Make. No offense but honestly...where's the comparison here? I don't have an actual picture of the pancakes because I haven't made any here lately but as soon as I make some I will take a picture and delete this whole last sentence!  Basic Pancakes Ingredients: 1 Egg 1 1/2 C flour 3 1/2 tsp baking powder (and make sure its a TEASPOON and not a TABLESPOON. I confused the two once and ended up having to make sooo many pancakes because you can't really take it out once its in there so I just added more flour and everything else. What's a girl to do?) 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 C sugar 1 1/4 C milk Directions: Combine wet ingredients Combine dry ingredients Mix together Heat pan to medium heat (either a greased pan or a nonstick if you f...

Banana Pudding

Just so you're aware before you get into this and then you're like "Wait...whaaaa-?" This is NOT  your momma's banana pudding recipe. Unless it is. All I know for sure about momma's and banana pudding is that this ISN'T my momma's recipe but she DOES love it.  Banana Pudding Ingredients: milk (good ol' certified cow calcium) (1) 3.4 oz box Banana Pudding mix (Instant or heat and serve. I used heat and serve without reading the box and needless to say it took me two tries to get it right. I also grabbed Banana CREAM pudding instead of regular banana... I don't pay a lot of attention to things. Anyways, all are great options. You can even make your own pudding if you'd care to.) Nilla Wafers (please please please please grab the Name Brand Nilla wafers and not the Walmart Great Value brand. Nothing against Great Value or any off brand labels but NIlla Wafers are not the same as "Vanilla Flavored Wafer Cookies") ...

Raspberry Chipotle Salmon

This is a dish I made for a contest my school was holding. We had to use a Raspberry Chipotle sauce from Fischer and Weiser. I made Top 10 finalists with this dish! I served it with asparagus and mashed potatoes and I'll give the recipe/ingredients for that too. Raspberry Chipotle Glazed Grilled Salmon Ingredients: Salmon filets (however many you require) a bundle of asparagus (or two) potatoes (for mashing) Fischer and Weiser Raspberry Chipotle sauce 3 cloves garlic-chopped or g lemon-zested and juiced 1 C any kind of fruity wine (I used Arbor Mist Mango and Strawberry) 3 TBSP butter (plus more for your potatoes) green onions or chives cream or milk  2 TBSP vegetable oil salt and pepper to taste Directions:   (These steps aren't necessarily in order. You'll want to reorder them because you don't want one side being colder than the rest. Time management and all.) Starting with the potatoes you're going to want to peel them and wash t...
